The cricket cardigan featured in this post is from the Ralph Lauren US Open Tennis collection. (Ralph Lauren is the official apparel sponsor of the US Open). It is such a classic piece, and I love how perfect it is for the fall. It is a sweater that is fitting on or off the court.

The Black and Orange Ball

Dress: ABS Shoes: Ann Taylor Earrings: Chanel (vintage) Cat Mask: Party City

We were a Peacock, Ann Darrow, a Football player, Cat Masquerade, Frankenstein, a Bag of Jelly Beans, a Mime, Teddy Roosevelt, and Blondie. The weekend before Halloween, unless Halloween is on a weekend, is always a time for costume parties. Every year I intend to come up with a creative costume weeks ahead of time, and every year I end up putting my costume together the night before. For this party I planned ahead, and ordered my dress and mask a few weeks ago. Inspired by Truman Capote's famous Black and White Ball, I decided to dress up as one of the masqueraders. Sadie and Devon had a similar idea and showed up in two very different versions of a peacock.

Vanessa and Macy had the best costumes of the night. I'm obsessed with Macy's Ann Darrow from King Kong costume, and Vanessa's bag of jelly beans was such a cute idea. Both of these costumes were homemade. Macy's costume was simple but brilliant!

One of the highlights of the party is when Richard walked in the room as Frankenstein. It's the perfect costume for someone so tall, and some of the guests thought he was on stilts. It was ideal. Kiel dressed up as Clint Eastwood from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. He took the role very seriously :) Brendan appeared as Teddy Roosevelt, and Lindsay a Mime. We had such a good time dancing the night away. What are you dressing up as this year?

Factory Girl

Shirt: J.Crew Skirt: J.Crew Boots: Ann Taylor c/o Tights: J.Crew Belt: J.Crew
Bracelets: Asha c/o Eyeliner: Stila c/o

Today's outfit is perfect for a day at the factory. It was a little chilly in the office and I felt pretty cozy in my turtleneck, wool skirt, and tights. The Ann Taylor boots are not something I would typically wear, but I really liked the way they looked with this outfit. I'm not used to wearing boots over the knee, but the look is really growing on me. I definitely plan on wearing these boots more often.

I kept my accessories minimal. A Leopard print belt is great to tie in with solid pieces. The only jewelry I have on are scalloped bangles from ASHA. I really love these bracelets and have been wearing them everyday since I got them.

The weather for the Head of the Charles this weekend couldn't have been more perfect. Sunny and just cool enough to bundle up in a sweater and a light jacket. This year Kiel and I brought everyone from our company (Kiel James Patrick) along to work in a booth set up within the Brooks Brothers tent. Brooks Brothers is the official sponsor of the HOCR.We had such a great time working at the event and meeting all of our customers. You guys are seriously the best! Even though It was a very busy weekend for us, I couldn't attend the HOCR without showing a few pictures of the races. Look out for more coverage of the event this week.
