After wrapping up a successful (sometimes stressful) holiday season, a company getaway up to the mountains was much deserved and much needed.  Fourteen of us trekked up caravan style to our beautiful log cabin destination, which appeared like a beacon of light tucked away in the middle of an unexpected snow storm in Sugarloaf, ME.

Ping pong, skiing, hiking, fires, cocoa, tea, jacuzzi, wine and whiskey, it was everything we could want our winter getaway to be. On our last day we made use of the fresh fallen snow and beauty of our surroundings to capture a few great Winter shots for the Kiel James Patrick website.

Kiel and I have acquired a good number of winter sweaters over the years and many of them were put to good use in this post. I have listed some of my favorite similar Winter sweaters that are available this season. You can shop the look here:

Fun pictures….I am a newer reader to your blog and am confused. I am sure other new readers are too. Pardon any questions that might sound ignorant-

Do you all do fashion shoots for companies like Brooks Brothers, J Crew etc….?
    Whose house is that above?
Do you do this every day? (if so how fun)!

Just not sure what the business is and surely you aren't doing this extravagant shoots for the blog alone, haha. Thanks!

      Hi Christy,
I own my own brand http://www.KielJamesPatrick.com with my fiancee Kiel. Our line is carried by Brooks Brothers and we were once featured in their catalog but we do all of these shoots for ourselves. I have never worked with J.Crew I just really like their clothes. My blog is a creative outlet to mostly show my daily outfits and sometimes our lifestyle marketing which can lead to confusion. We did a little searching and rented the house above, as you can see it is quite beautiful. Like most people I work everyday at an office and work from home at night. As an owner of my own company I do have the freedom to travel when I need to but to run any successful small business it is crucial that the owners are present. To answer your question I do not do this everyday. If you have any more questions please feel free to e-mail me. Hope this helped 🙂

The sweaters, the boots, and the wooden skis: lovely!!! I'm getting ready to start a month of sweaters on my blog and had so much fun with the rare opportunity to shoot in snow this week. I'm glad you all had a fabulous time on your getaway!

Are the new boots you tried out narrower/less wide than their traditional boot? I've bought and returned two pairs because the original boot, while ideal for Upstate NY, are soooo wide! Crossing my fingers the new design is more ideal for women!! Any insight would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!

Seeing the pictures of your trip makes me want to jump in my car and drive up to where the snow is, but I'd be freezing as hell then 🙁
    Anyway, such great looks!
