Save the Seals

A couple of weeks ago I was proud to be present at the release of three rehabilitated Mystic Aquarium seals (two grey seals and one harp seal) at Blue Shutters Beach in Charlestown, RI. The harp seal named Curie had spent a year at the aquarium before being deemed healthy enough to return to sea. (Curie is the seal
shown swimming in the tank. This picture was taken in late March).
Curie was rescued by the aquarium a little over a year ago due to a
respiratory infection. It was beautiful to witness not only the return
of the seals to their natural environment, but also the joy of the Stranding staff and volunteers who made their release possible.

Mystic Aquarium recently
offered me the position of Ambassador to the Stranding Program. I’m
not only honored but excited for this opportunity to work with the
aquarium and to raise awareness to the program. As part of
my involvement with this endeavor I will also be donating all revenue
from Classy Girls Wear Pearls to Mystic Aquarium. Mystic and the Sea
Research Foundation play a huge role in the community and all donations
go to educational programs for children, sea exploration, nature
conservation, rescuing wildlife, and training specialists. To donate or

Which size did you take your Penfield-jacket? XS vor S? I'm thinking about ordering it, it looks gorgeous on you 🙂
