Nantucket is always a good idea! Sharing recent pics from my trip to Nantucket a few weeks ago. Kiel and I were invited for a stay at the White Elephant Easy Street Loft with Carly, Dave, and Sophie. The spacious loft has plenty of room and a full kitchen. It even comes with its own BMW which we drove around the island for the duration of our stay. On the first day we had lunch at the White Elephant, popped into Skinny Dip who is carrying our products this season, and explored Steps Beach. The weather wasn't as warm as I would have liked but it felt great to be near the beach again and the sun helped warm us up a bit.

Special thank you to the White Elephant and Nantucket Island Resorts for our stay!

Mocktail Night

Dress: kate spade c/o Shoes: kate spade c/o Bag: kate spade c/o Bracelet: kate spade c/o Rings: kate spade 1,2 c/o Earrings: Lisi Lerch c/0 Lipstick: Marc Jacobs // Cora Cora

Kiel and I just opened up our tiki bar for another summer of lake living. This year it will be all about the mocktails for me (or if I'm feeling lazy lemonade or SanPellegrino).  I loved this recent article by Town and Country featuring 30 different mocktail recipes. It's not quite the same as a chilled glass of rose', but some of the drinks look really delicious. (Pineapple steel glasses can be found here.)

For this post I teamed up with kate spade to showcase some of their latest summer arrivals. This season's offerings are a little spicy and fun with flouncy dresses and plenty of hot pepper motifs. I loved this red off the shoulder number! It's perfect for summer nights on the town for an effortless look. I had to have the bamboo birdcage bag to match. Their novelty bags are always a great conversation piece. This summer's whimsical offerings include a piƱata bagtaco truck bag, and a takeout bag

Special thank you to kate spade for sponsoring this post!

My New England Summer Wardobe Essentials

Today officially marks the start of another New England Summer and I couldn't be more excited! I rounded up five of my classic casual summer wardrobe staples. These are the pieces that I always turn to year after year and continue to feel great in. They are the core staples that make getting dressed in the morning or packing for a weekend getaway to Nantucket easy.

1. Nautical Sweaters: Ok not all of these are necessarily "nautical sweaters" but they are meant for cold summer nights around a bonfire or windy days on the water.  I love a fun nautical motif just as much as the classic fisherman sweater. These sweaters are meant to be no fuss and can pretty much be thrown over any ensemble. I love watching my nautical sweater collection grow each summer.

2. Oversized Glasses: I don't know what I would do without my signature oversized Karen Walker Super Duper in Tort glasses. I have been wearing them on a almost daily basis for the past four years. I have sensitive eyes and tend to squint a lot, especially for pictures lol. My eyes are closed in more than half of my pictures without glasses on. For sunny days by the beach or road trips to the Cape, sunglasses are must. They also have the ability to make the simplest outfit appear more glamorous.

3. Striped Tees: Striped tees are the core of almost every New England summer wardrobe. To me they are the epitome of effortless classic style, easy to wear and always stylish. I love wearing them with denim cutoffs or a white skirt. It's a bonus that they also tend to be soft and cozy. Stripes are the foundation of nautical chic.

4. Denim Shorts: Denim shorts will always be a staple of mine. They emphasize a great summer tan and look good with literally everything. While I love to wear mine with casual pieces it's also fun to dress down a blouse or more formal shirt with a faded pair of denim cutoffs.

5. Classic Polos: A classic polo is a New England wardrobe must. I have a large collection off vintage Lacoste polos but I also cannot resist the J.Crew x Lacoste polos that have been released the past few summers. The dog polo c/o I'm wearing in the picture above is available at Ralph Lauren and can be customized with a few different dog options.

New York Botanical Garden Conservatory Ball

Dress: Needle & Thread Shoes: Manolo Blahnik Bag: YSL (also love this one) Earrings: Nicola Bathie c/o

Sharing a few snapshots from the New York Botanical Garden Conservatory Ball. Kiel and I were invited to attend by a friend a couple of weeks ago and had the best time! The event, which featured a garden exhibition by renowned artist Dale Chihuly was magical! My dress turned out to be perfect for a spring/summer black tie gala which I find can be difficult to dress for. I almost always opt for a shorter dress! I love the selections from Needle & Thread this season. The embroidered and sequin detail on each dress is stunning. I will admit they are not inexpensive but reasonable for the quality and design. I felt like a princess all evening! The dress was a little snug, due to my ever growing waist, but I would say it was true to size otherwise. I'm usually a size 0 and I purchased this in a UK6.
