Autumn Gives Us Life

Sweater: J.Crew Skirt: J.Crew (old, similar) Boots: Tory Burch c/o (old, similar)  Bag: Atlantic Pacific x Feed Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick Glasses: Karen Walker

Counting down the days until we meet our baby boy! Shot these images last weekend during a photoshoot for our new KJP fall jewelry collection (coming soon). The bag I'm wearing in this post is from a recent collaboration between Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific and Feed. Proceeds from each bag will provide 50 meals to families in need via Feed's local giving partner, Food Bank for NYC. It's the perfect fall bag for a great cause!

Hocus Pocus

Jacket: kate spade c/o Dress: Zara Bag: kate spade c/o Key Fob: kate spade c/o Boots: kate spade c/o (These are from last year, love this current style) Earrings: Vintage Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick Ring: kate spade c/o Lipstick: Urban Decay // Afterdark

After leaving my house in this ensemble  I realized I was dressed slightly like a witch. I even had my black cat key fob from kate spade hanging from my bag. (I'll forever be a cat lady and couldn't resist it!) If truth be told this is the perfect outfit for the upcoming month. The black boots definitely perfect the hocus pocus look. I think a pair of heels would really switch up the look.

This jacket and plaid dress from Zara are two of my favorite pieces from this season. I love the velvet bow on the kate spade jacket and I've been on the hunt for a plaid dress like this forever.  I linked a few other plaid dresses for the pumpkin picking season below.

Autumn in Wonderland

Sweater: J.Crew Dress: J.Crew Boots: Tory Burch c/o (old, similar) Bag: Cuyana c/o Ring: Kiel James Patrick Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick Glasses: Karen Walker

Kiel and I have driven by the Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, CT numerous times without really stopping to check out the property. The pink gothic revival "cottage" has always looked like a fairytale house to me. On this trip we finally explored the home and the beautiful grounds. The end of season flowers on the property were stunning!

I picked up this turtleneck dress and sweater last week from J.Crew. I cannot fit into a lot of my fall clothes and needed a few pieces to get me through the season. This dress might just be the most fitted piece I've worn during this pregnancy. I bought it in a size S and figured I will probably still be able to wear it after I have the baby. I paired it with my new Cuyana bag which I've been excited to wear. Green is my favorite color and I love the quality and simplicity of this bag. Below I shared the fall pieces I'm loving from J.Crew right now and an assortment of Cuyana's gorgeous bags.

Stocking up in Woodstock

Sweater: J.Crew Skirt: J.Crew Shoes: J.Crew (old, similar style here and here) Bag: Cuyana c/o (also love it in this color) Watch: Kate Spade c/o  Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick Earrings: Kate Spade c/o Ring: Kiel James Patrick Glasses: Karen Walker

I love exploring Woodstock, CT this time of year. The quiet New England town is perfectly charming from the historic homes to the family owned farms. It's the perfect day trip. Kiel and I cannot resist making the drive at least once a year. If you are planning a trip, here are a couple of my recommendations:

1. Woodstock Orchards: It's picture perfect for apple picking. Stop inside the apple barn for delicious hot cider donuts and other delights of the season.

2. Devon Point Farm: Only two miles down the road from Woodstock Orchards, Devon Point Farm is a family run farm and cider mill. The beautiful property is ideal for pick your own pumpkins and purchasing mums, gourds, and seasonal vegetables. Make sure to try the raw apple cider, it's amazing! Kiel and I picked up a half a gallon. I wish we brought home more!

3. The Inn at Woodstock Hill: This endearing bed and breakfast with 21 rooms is the place to stay if you are planning an overnight trip to Woodstock. The inn restaurant is a great spot for dinner or lunch.

4. Rosewood Cottage: Sharing images of this historic gothic revival style home later this week. Tours of the cottage and garden are available during certain times of the year. Check the website for hours.

5. The Golden Lamb Buttery:  Located outside of Woodstock in nearby Brooklyn, this restaurant is a must for a unique barn dining experience. Before dinner guests can enjoy cocktails while on a hayride around the property.

Woodstock is the ideal town to get in the spirit of the Fall season. If you are familiar with the area let me know if there are any places that should have been on my list.

Kiel's Fall Style

Fleece: Patagonia (also love this and this)  Shirt: Mizzen + Main Jeans: Levi's Shoes: Gucci (similar), LL Bean Hat: Vineyard Vines

Kiel is taking over my blog today for a special collaboration with Nordstrom. In case you didn't know, fall is our favorite time of year and we both love dressing for the new season. I'm excited to have Kiel showcase his fall style in this post. He loves layering and dressing for outdoor adventures. Patagonia has a great line of fleeces and light jackets that are great for layering on days that start off cool and warm up as the afternoon goes on. The fleece featured is both cozy and rugged. It's perfect for autumn excursions that include hiking, canoeing, and even apple picking. I may just have to steal it from him!

Special thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
