Waiting for the Great Pumpkin to Arrive

Scenes from last night's movie night while we await our Great Pumpkin to arrive. Since so many asked me for the "recipe" for our snack mix I decided to share it in this post along with a few of my must have cozy socks, pajamas, and plaid throws.

The snack mix is really just a combination of our favorite snacks tossed together. I will warn you it's impossible to stop eating. I had to hide it from sight this morning.

 Here is what we included:

Chex Mix
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Brach's Mellowcreme Autumn Mix
Reese's Pieces
Chocolate Toffee Pretzels
Yogurt Pretzels
Reese's Puff Cereal
Peanut Butter Chips

The fox bowl is an older purchase from Pottery Barn. I featured details on our projector screen setup in this post. We almost exclusively watch everything on this. During the day the screen is up and just before bed we put it down to watch a movie or a tv show. I don't think I would want to watch TV any other way after having this. We are currently watching X Files. It's my first time watching it and I didn't expect to like it as much as I do.

Fall Flannel Fun

Jacket: Barbour  c/o Dress: Kiel James Patrick Boots: Tory Burch (old, similar)  Bag: Madewell Necklace: Kiel James Patrick Bracelets: Kate Spade 1,2
Kiel: Flannel: Kiel James Patrick Sweater: LL Bean Pants: Ralph Lauren Boots: LL Bean Hat: Kiel James Patrick

Originally I planned to make this post a giveaway for the new flannel dresses I designed for Kiel James Patrick, but we sold out of them within a couple of days. There is one style left with limited inventory. When we released the new design I was really excited -- I've been on the hunt for a flannel dress with a flared skirt and ruffled collar forever. Since I couldn't find it, I knew we had to make it. It was beyond exciting for me to see the response to them. Thank you to everyone who purchased one. We will be getting more in before Thanksgiving and when we do I will make an announcement and host a giveaway.

This year we missed out on apple picking, but still managed to load up on pumpkins, gourds, and mums to turn our front walkway into an autumn wonderland. Bennie is always a beloved addition to our adventures and I'm excited to bring along our little one with us next year.

Changes in Providence

Jacket: kate spade c/o Sweater: kate spade c/o Skirt: J.Crew Factory Heels: kate spade c/o (also love these leopard shoes)  Bag: kate spade c/o Glasses: Gucci Bracelets: kate spade 1,2 c/o Earrings: Vintage

This month kate spade is all leopard everything. Today I'm featuring an outfit that I wore to brunch last Saturday including a couple of pieces from their new collection such as the bag and shoes. I really love the needlepoint detailing on this bag combined with the calf hair leopard. It's a beautiful piece that will enhance the look of a classic outfit. The shoes are just the right height and I prefer the block heel. I have a feeling I'll be getting a lot of use of these shoes after the baby arrives.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Sweater: Vince (only available in Charcoal) Shirt: Madewell Pants: Ingrid & Isabel Shoes: Madewell (sold out in Brown, similar )Bag: Madewell Glasses: Karen Walker Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick

Last weekend in New Hampshire was just what I needed. The rest of this month is pretty busy for me between work, a wedding, and preparing for our baby's arrival.  I enjoyed plenty of rest and relaxation during our stay at Mount Washington. One of our favorite things to do up North is go antique shopping and explore the charming towns. In Bethlehem, NH we stopped at the Lonesome Wolf and had the best time looking through a beautifully curated collection of antiques, vintage jewelry, and newer items such as books and candles. I took home a couple of pieces of costume jewelry and an amazing smelling candle (Lonesome Wolf//Mountain).

The outfit I wore on this day was incredibly cozy. I did a little shopping on Nordstrom prior to this trip and was not entirely sure how some of the pieces I purchased would fit me. (Nordstrom's quick and easy returns and exchanges have made shopping the last few months a lot easier.) Luckily everything I bought worked out. The Vince cashmere turtleneck is pricey but extremely comfortable. I didn't mind spending the money on it as I know it will be a piece I will continue to wear each season. I bought it a size up from what I would normally wear but I think it will still look good slightly oversized. I paired the sweater with a plaid shirt and my Ingrid & Isabel maternity jeans. I love to wear plaid under my sweaters and turtlenecks this time of year for a pop of color. If you are wondering this plaid shirt already came oversized and I did not have to size up. I shared a few of my favorite cozy turtleneck sweaters for this season below.

Special thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post.
