A couple weekends ago Kiel, Harry, and I flew to Utah for a winter getaway at the Montage Deer Valley with Veuve Clicquot.
It was my first ski trip on the West Coast and I was surprised at how
easy the flight was. This time of year I usually want to head some place
warm but this trip gave me a whole new appreciation for Winter. The
resort and Utah were gorgeous. It was the kind of trip winter dreams are
made of. We went skiing, snow shoeing, and enjoyed fondue on top of a
mountain. The meals were amazing and the
weather was just warm enough to enjoy all of the activities at hand.

After a couple of runs down the mountain we took a ski break in the Veuve Clicquot
yurt which is decked out in the most fabulous rustic lodge decor. The
yurt serves champagne by the bottle, and a sampling of light appetizers
every day from 12-4 during the ski season. It was the best way to relax!
I can also never say no to Champagne.

While
we were out enjoying the resort activities, Harry spent time with his
Aunt Kalin. It was amazing that she was able to come with us on this
trip. She was a huge help and we were so appreciative. The winter
weather can be tricky with a baby. I can’t wait to get Harry in ski
lessons as soon as he is old enough. There is nothing cuter than little
kids all bundled up in their snow gear! I would happily spend the day
with him on the bunny slopes. (On a side note — The resort also offers a
baby sitting service for guests who want to get spa treatments, a quiet
dinner alone, or like us — to enjoy a day of skiing. It was very kid
friendly and family oriented for those interested in staying there.)

Special thank you to Veuve Clicquot and Montage Deer Valley for this amazing trip!
