Friday Finds: Floral Edition

1.Embellished Slides, 2.Monogrammed Floral Zip Pouch, 3.Garden iPhone Case // 4.Flower Earrings, 5.Floral Romper, 6.Garden Gloves, //  7. Floret Farm's Cut Flower Garden Book
8.Scarf, 9.Fit & Flare Dress

Rhode Island is still a dead zone in terms of lush green grass and blooming flowers. While I wait for it to finally look and feel like spring here, I'm loving these recent floral finds:

Embellished slides: Bead blooms in a neutral color are a the perfect embellishment to combine with almost every outfit. I could see these being worn in so many different ways. Last year I bought the pearl slide (worn here and here) and I'm loving this year's rendition of the same concept.

Monogrammed Floral Zip Pouch: I've been carrying around my iPad without a case forever and this is just the pouch I've been looking for. Love that it can also be personalized.

Garden iPhone Case: I recently made the Switch to the iPhone X but this case illustrated by Rifle Paper is just so pretty...

Flower Earrings: Perfect statement earrings for this season. I love wearing an oversized earring with a simple outfit.

Floral Romper:  I find rompers so flattering and easy to wear. I love the pattern and ladylike look of this one.

Garden Gloves: Right around Memorial Day weekend I get the itch to clean up our yard. These gloves would be ideal to wear for cleaning out those flower beds. Does any one else get a lot of satisfaction out of doing yard work?

Floret Farm's Cut Flower Garden Book: I've seen this particular image so many times on Pinterest and Instagram and it never gets old. Floret Farm has such an interesting story to tell and I love that they came out with a book on growing and arranging flowers.

Scarf: I love all of Liberty of London prints and this scarf mixes it up a bit with a different pattern on each side.

Fit & Flare Dress: This floral dress is really cute and affordable. Once the weather gets warmer I find throwing on a dress everyday the easiest way to get ready in the morning. This style is perfect to wear on vacation, to dinner, or running errands on the weekend.

Avenue of the Oaks

Dress: Zara Sandals: Saint Laurent Bag: Mansur Gavriel Earrings:Tuckernuck Bracelet: Van Cleef & Arpels Ring: Kiel James Patrick
Harry: Sweater: Zara (similar) Overalls: Boden

Location: Sea Island

On our last night at Sea Island, I wore this green Zara dress for our dinner at the Lodge. I loved the fit and voluminous silhouette of the dress. I've been really impressed with Zara's quality and pricing lately. This dress fit me perfectly and it was really comfortable to wear. I was going to go with an extra small but then I switched to a small after taking a look at their sizing chart. This post is in no way sponsored but I love how user friendly their sizing chart was by simply asking for my height and weight and then calculating my recommended size.

Before our dinner at the Oak Room we explored the Avenue of the Oaks while we waited for our table to be ready. The Spanish moss trees are just so hauntingly beautiful. We couldn't resist taking a few pictures before heading back to the Lodge to hear the bagpipes play before sunset. The bagpipes are a daily tradition marking the end of the day at the resort.

Special thank you to Sea Island for our stay!

Walk to the Beach

Dress: Draper James c/o Shoes: Kate Spade c/o (old, also like these and these), Bag: Bembien Earrings: Tuckernuck Glasses: Gucci
Harry: Shortall: Bella Bliss c/o  Shirt: Little English c/o (similar)  Hat: Target

Location: Sea Island

Sharing a look from Draper James latest Spring collection. This dress is a great item to pack on vacation -- it's comfy, light-weight, and hardly wrinkles. It's perfect for days when you want to look a little dressed up but don't want to put in the effort. It would also make a great beach coverup. I'm wearing a size S and it was a little big on me. I definitely should have went with an XS. I'm still not entirely sure of my size in clothing since having Harry. In some brands I'm back to my normal size and with others I'm still sizing up.

Check out my Instagram this Tuesday around 6pm EST for a special announcement. Sharing a few of my favorite Draper James pieces this season below.

Friday Finds: Easter Edition

1. Lamb Stuffed Animal, 2. The Art of Beatrix Potter Book, 3. Stacking Wooden Rabbit, // 4. Bunny Sleep and Play, 5. Egg Trinket, 6. Garden Table Runner  // 7.Moss Bunny, 8. Bunny Chocolate Bar, 9.Gingham Bunny Plates, // 10. Easter Party Bundle, 11.Bunny Storage Basket, 12. Wreath

Easter is right around the corner and I wanted to share a few finds that I came across that would be perfect for the home, a little one, or even yourself.  The bunny storage basket is perfect for storing trinkets at home and even makes for a beautiful Easter basket. For Harry's first Easter we are planning on keeping it simple and buying him a cute stuffed animal, jellycat has the softest and most adorable selection. We also bought him the stacking wooden rabbit and the cozy bunny sleep and play above. Another great gift not featured is the Beatrix Potter Book Collection. We bought it for Harry for Christmas. I've always loved the illustrations and can't wait for him to enjoy the books as he gets older. This brings me to another great Easter gift, a coffee table book on Beatrix Potter and her illustrations. It's the perfect gift for a friend, parent, or even yourself. Kiel and I received it as a gift and I love it. There are so many beautiful pages and interesting facts about the author. I've always been a huge fan of her work.

I've been browsing through Etsy for the perfect Spring wreath and came across this one. It's been really hard for me to transition into spring decor this year with all of the snow we have been getting. A wreath on the front door is a simple way to dress up your home for the new season. Kiel and I usually go to brunch with our families for Easter,  but if we were to host our own Easter dinner moss bunnies and gingham bunny plates are a must!

Spring Shift

Dress: Kiel James Patrick (15% off with code CGWPDress) Shoes: Mansur Gavriel Bag: Bembien Scarf: J.Crew (old) Bracelets: Kiel James Patrick 1,2 Earrings: Lisi Lerch c/o Glasses: Karen Walker

Location: Sea Island

More scenes from our trip to Sea Island. Kiel and I discovered this beautiful courtyard during breakfast one morning. Not featured in this picture are the cumquat trees that are absolute goals. I tend to kill just about every plant I bring home. If only I had a green thumb! I would love to have an indoor lemon tree or cumquat tree.

In this post I'm wearing the latest addition to our shift dress collection. Mint is one of my favorite colors and I had to have it in our dress line for Spring. I'm excited to wear it with a tan this summer.  This weekend only receive 15% off our Kiel James Patrick dresses with code CGWPDress. Can't wait to show you our new dress styles in the coming weeks.

Sea Island

Dress: Zara Sandals: Saint Laurent Bag: Bembien Earrings: Tuckernuck Glasses: Gucci Bracelet: Van Cleef & Arpels, Kiel James Patrick Lipstick: Marc Jacobs  // Cora Cora c/o
Harry: Sweater: Ralph Lauren Vest: Shirt: Ralph Lauren Pants: Gap Hat: Target
Kiel: Blazer: Ralph Lauren Shirt: Brooks Brothers Pants: Ralph Lauren Shoes: Gucci Belt: Ralph Lauren

Location: Sea Island

Here are a few sunny snapshots from our recent family trip to Sea Island, Georgia. It was a beautiful escape and the resort could not have been more gorgeous or family friendly. We packed in a few activities -- horseback riding, falconry, and a salt marsh tour, and spent the rest of our time exploring the grounds or enjoying the delicious food. This scene showcases one of my favorite rooms in the hotel. If I had time to read, it would have been the perfect reading room with the sun streaming in and the cozy couches. I loved the bird murals and the four real lovebirds (not featured) in their beautiful bird cages.

Harry was in full vacation mode with his straw fedora hat and I was really excited to be wearing spring clothes again. This dress was a recent purchase from Zara and probably one of my favorite pieces to date. Classic blue dresses are always appropriate for almost every occasion!

Special thank you to Sea Island for our stay!

Family Day in Newport

Dress: Kiel James Patrick (coming soon) Shoes: Mansur Gavriel
Kiel: Jacket: Belstaff  Sweater: Old Pants: Ralph Lauren Shoes: Gucci
Harry: Sweater: Boden Shirt: Ralph Lauren Overalls: Zara (similarShoes: Robeez Socks: Robeez

Last week we visited Newport to check in on our Kiel James Patrick store (see my post on the opening here). For the next couple of weeks it will be closed for renovations and we had a few final details to approve before work could get started. It was very strange to see it completely cleared out and the floors sanded. Last summer we were in a rush to open the store at the start of the season and didn't get to complete everything exactly as we envisioned. We are so excited to update it for this Spring to align with our new collections.

During our visit we stopped by the Newport Museum store, where the boat rocker can be purchased in case you were wondering. I received a lot of questions about it on Instagram. I also couldn't resist stopping by the Cookie Jar which sells some of the best cookies. I buy at least a half dozen every time we stop by our store.

For this visit I dressed Harry in a Fair Isle Octopus sweater that I think is the cutest sweater ever. Baby clothes have become my favorite thing to buy. Harry is growing so fast and always needs something new. He's 4 months but already fits in 6 month old baby clothes. He was 26.5 inches on our last visit to the doctor. Most of his original baby clothes no longer fit him. I'm buying everything a little bigger so he can wear it longer. I also found socks that finally stay on his feet! We purchased a few pairs of the Robeez socks at a local children's store and Harry is finally unable to kick them off.
