Falconry, horseback riding on the beach, and a salt marsh tour are a handful of the activities we enjoyed on Sea Island. I was really excited when I learned the resort offered a private Hawk Walk to guests. It’s such a neat experience to go out with the raptors —  the owl is an insanely gorgeous creature. I was a little bit in awe of it! Paige, the trainer, has a very special relationship with the birds and I loved hearing her experience working with them. There is a really close bond and level of trust between them that is inspiring.
On one of the mornings during our stay, Kiel and I went to the stables for horseback riding on the beach. I’ve only been riding a handful of times and was excited to get back on a horse. Our small group was led by an instructor through the woods and then to a isolated stretch of beach. It was so much fun, although my legs were a little sore afterwards. We saw dolphins swimming very close to the shore as we were riding. It was a peaceful start to the day.

The last image of this post is my favorite scene from the Salt Marsh Tour. This picture definitely looks fake but it was 100% real. This dolphin followed our boat for a good twenty minutes. My back was completely soaked from the dolphin splashing water, and there were points that I was convinced it would hit the motor. I was amazed that it kept jumping out of the water so closely over and over again. It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip!  Excited to share this picture with Harry in the future.

Special thank you to Sea Island for our stay!

That looks like such an incredible vacation! I love vacations where there are tons of activities to do and places to explore, instead of just laying out by the pool. Your wrap top in the last picture is so beautiful and simply elegant, love it!

    Cheers,
