Our guest room is finally complete! Kiel and I are calling it the Bennie Suite — framed photos of Bennie cover most of the walls and Bennie will grace the floor or the bed if guests are so inclined. Bennie lives for the extra belly rubs! Excited to share images of the refreshed space today on my blog. I’m really pleased with the way everything turned out. I collaborated with Amazon Home for this project and I can’t get over how much their pieces brought this room to life. They had every product for the home that I could possibly think of. Previously I had the room set up in a makeshift manner with no rhyme or reason for the decor. I kept putting off fixing it up mainly because I was torn with what direction I wanted to go with it.
Right after Memorial Day Weekend summer mode officially kicks in for me. I’m loving all of the time spent outdoors with my family. We started a new tradition of having pizza and wine on our front porch on Friday evenings. It’s a safe space for Kiel and I to relax as the porch is almost completely baby proofed. We live in a very quiet neighborhood and I love to hear the sounds of the birds chirping amidst Harry’s laughter. It’s been a busy couple of months with our brand. We still have lots of new releases coming in the next couple of weeks including children’s sweaters. I’m very excited about this! I haven’t had too much time to post on here but wanted to share a few iPhone images from my last couple of weeks.
Our recent Mother’s Day weekend visit to Mohonk Mountain House was like stepping back in time to a bygone era summer camp. The resort gave me Dirty Dancing meets Hogwarts Castle vibes minus the dancing and wizards. Isolated in the Shawangunk Mountains on the shore of Lake Mohonk, the camp is a playground for hiking, swimming, and row boating enthusiasts. It’s the perfect place to turn off the phone and unwind — surrounded by such stunning natural beauty it’s nearly impossible not to.
