I live for our our weekends on the lake. It’s become a habit to keep my phone on the charger in my bedroom while we are relaxing outdoors. For me it’s the best way to slow down time and live fully in the moment. There are very few opportunities during the week to do this and I cherish these simpler times watching Bennie swim (she loves the water more than anything), enjoying a glass of wine at sunset, or seeing Harry laugh at a funny face his dad made.
On these weekends there are no official plans. We see where the day takes us and it’s just the way I like it. Last weekend we found ourselves floating around the lake on a giant flamingo with our family.  It was one of Kiel’s late night purchases. He’s bought a lot of random things over the years but this might be my favorite. Harry had the biggest smile on his face the second he laid eyes upon the fifteen foot flamingo sitting on our lawn.
The float is enormous! It holds six people, has a built in cooler, cup holders, and a built in platform. Kiel and I received a lot of thumbs up from neighbors passing by on their boats. Initially they did not know what to make of it — for reference the flamingo was bigger than our car. A lake is the ideal place to use this. It was not the easiest to maneuver. I would certainly not advise taking this out in the ocean. Kiel and his sister’s boyfriend Dan used oars to steer us around. I’m guessing there has to be some kind of motor for floats. If not it really needs to exist. While getting around could be easier it certainly is a lot of fun! I recommend using it in areas where you are safe drifting. I also love the Unicorn and Peacock party floats.

That’s the biggest float I’ve ever seen! How did you manage to blow it up? Regardless, it looks like a blast. I think you have a ever fun summer ahead lounging in that bird! xAllie
