February has arrived, and I’ve reached the point where winter has lost its
idyllic appeal. I’ve had my fill of skiing, hot chocolate, and heavy
jackets. Dressing for this time of year can be a little discouraging
when every shop window is an ode to spring, and a New England winter
calls for comfort and practicality.
There are days I throw common sense out the window and slip on a pair of
bright heels, garnering a few stares from the older generations who love
to remark that just looking at my feet makes them cold.
