Lucky Catch

Sweater: LL Bean Signature  c/o Shirt: J.Crew (Last seen here)  Shorts: J.Crew Shoes: Sebago Belt: Kiel James Patrick  Bag: J.Crew  Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick Glasses: Ralph Lauren

Last week Kiel and I drove to Portland, Maine for a seaside jaunt hosted by LL Bean Signature
to get a taste of the charming city, and a first look at their fall
collection. The trip was everything a New England girl could hope for.
The day started with an early morning lobstering cruise aboard the Lucky Catch.
We not only got to wear the adorable lobstermen garb, but we also
learned a few things, such as when to keep a lobster and when to throw
it back to sea (the tiny lobsters we caught were just too small to eat).
After a great morning we shopped the LL Bean Signature fall collection.
I fell in love with the classic attire such as the fisherman sweater
I’m wearing in this post, and their Italian wool blazers. Think beautiful
plaid and herringbone! A visit to the LL Bean Flagship store in
Freeport, a sunset schooner ride, Portland Head Lighthouse, and a
sampling of the finest cuisine Portland has to offer provided the recipe
for a perfect getaway! I can think of no better place than Portland to
Wear Life Well.

Wow, what an absolutely idyllic outing! I love going deep sea fishing in the Gulf so I can only imagine this must be a blast too!
That LL Bean fisherman's sweater is just the icing on the whole cake, by the way. I think I've found my first fall sweater purchase!

Only you would know what to wear to look good in the orange overalls. This sounds like a one of a kind experience.

    I love that sweater too!
I had a chuckle to see you in Grunden's; I can't wait to show my son when he gets in from a long day of lobstering off Biddeford Pool. His Grunden's are not fresh and adorable — they smell of herring bait.
Otherwise, it makes me proud and happy to see this pictures. I love Maine, especially the coast, but the Western Mountains as well. Maybe this winter you'll visit Sugarloaf/Carabassett Valley? The photo ops are endless!

It doesn't get much better than summer on the Maine coast, though I am from Maine so I could be a tad biased. Hope you two enjoyed your visit to Vacationland! 🙂
