Beach Bug

Last week's gorgeous weather was perfect for taking my vintage bug convertible out for a spin. I've been looking forward to driving it all winter. It's the perfect car for a weekend excursion. For a mini getaway I love to wear comfy, stylish pieces that can take me from day to night. Summer is all about packing light! For this post I partnered with kate spade to share some of their latest arrivals. The dress featured in this post certainly fits my criteria for comfy and stylish. I love the hummingbird print on so many of their pieces this season. I have no words for how much I love the sun hat! It's quirky and fun and protects my hair from the sun. Did not mean to rhyme on that one! Ha!

I've been wanting a light mint bag and the Cameron Street Large Lane bag is the perfect summery shade and size to pair with many of of my outfits. It fits a good number items and I just love the classic shape of it.

Anyone heading on any fun road trips this summer? I would love to hear where you are headed, especially if you are from the New England area. There are still so many beautiful local places that I have yet to explore...

Special thank you to kate spade for sponsoring this post!

    1. It was a gift from Veuve Clicquot. They had the bags custom made. I'm not sure if they sell them but they should!

  8. Great style! I'm not sure how I feel about hot pink, I think a royal blue dress would be a great alternative <3

  9. You look lovely! And ready for an adventure! I love a New England summer; if you find yourself in Dennis on the Cape at all you have to check out Cream N' Cone for oysters and lobster rolls!

  10. That's such a great color on you, Sarah! I'm so with you on road trip style: cute and comfy all the way! I'll be road tipping over to New England this summer! Any recommendations in the Rhode Island/Massachusetts area?

    1. Thank you! If you are stopping in Rhode Island you have to visit Newport, Jamestown, and Watch Hill. Providence is a cute little city with great food. If you are visiting Massachusetts Boston is obviously a must and Cape Cod (I love Chatham). Marblehead is also worth a visit.

    1. Sounds perfect! I need to visit Rhinebeck. The new store is opening the 2nd week of June. There is no set date yet. The construction is taking a little longer than we anticipated.

  13. I love how that pink pops so vibrantly! What a gorgeous day to take the Bug out!

I am heading to Raleigh for a weekend trip with my husband in July and potentially more of the South Carolina coast. I just moved up here in January and I'm still itching to explore my new home state!
