While I adore this time of year in New England, the new Lilly Pulitzer
resort collection kinda makes me want to hop on the next flight to
Tahiti. I’m in love with the latest array of playful prints and colorful
dresses. My favorite this season is the Carleigh Tunic Dress which
would be ideal to pack for a tropical getaway this winter.

Happy November! The day after Halloween is the start of
my favorite time of year with the exception of Daylight Savings Time
ending on Sunday. I really like those longer days! The temperature
really starts to drop this month and for me boot season officially
begins. I bought these Houndstooth duck boots from LL Bean Signature
last month and have been waiting for a chance to wear them. They are
perfect for today’s rainy weather and I wore them with my favorite pair
of boot socks.

The cricket cardigan featured in this post is from the Ralph Lauren US Open Tennis collection. (Ralph Lauren is the official apparel sponsor of the US Open). It is such a classic piece, and I love how perfect it is for the fall.

We were a Peacock, Ann Darrow, a Football player, Cat Masquerade, Frankenstein, a Bag of Jelly Beans, a Mime, Teddy Roosevelt, and Blondie. The weekend before Halloween, unless Halloween is on a weekend, is always a time for costume parties. Every year I intend to come up with a creative costume weeks ahead of time, and every year I end up putting my costume together the night before.

Today’s outfit is perfect for a day at the factory. It was a little
chilly in the office and I felt pretty cozy in my turtleneck, wool
skirt, and tights. The Ann Taylor
boots are not something I would typically wear, but I really liked the
way they looked with this outfit. I’m not used to wearing boots over the
knee, but the look is really growing on me.
