Mohonk Mountain House

Our recent Mother’s Day weekend visit to Mohonk Mountain House was like stepping back in time to a bygone era summer camp. The resort gave me Dirty Dancing meets Hogwarts Castle vibes minus the dancing and wizards. Isolated in the Shawangunk Mountains on the shore of Lake Mohonk, the camp is a playground for hiking, swimming, and row boating enthusiasts. It’s the perfect place to turn off the phone and unwind — surrounded by such stunning natural beauty it’s nearly impossible not to.
Kiel, Harry, and I spent our weekend at the resort with Kiel’s parents. It’s a great place for families to come together. There is a schedule of activities to partake in during the day — tomahawk throwing, horse carriage rides, guided hikes, and yoga classes to name a few. For those looking for something a little more relaxing the indoor spa and pool is wonderful. We did a lot of walking to take in all of the beautiful views from the summer huts along the cliffs. Each night we enjoyed a gourmet family style buffet followed by live music in one of the common rooms. I love that the Mohonk Mountain House has so much variety. Already planning our trip back! I imagine it’s a dream during high summer.
Special thank you to Mohonk Mountain House for our stay!

OMG the castle vibe of this resort is so breath taking! Hard to believe this exists in the US aha! I love the new KJP top you are wearing. It is so cute with the white skirt, and those wedges! Looks like you guys had a fabulous stay! Definitely a place that is now on my list. Thanks for sharing 🙂

Spent our honeymoon there 21 years ago. It was amazingly beautiful back then, and still looks gorgeous now. We enjoyed a lot of hiking while we were there. Sadly, the boats weren’t available for use during April.
