The Simple Life

Our annual summer family photo in front of our home has a few feathery cameos this year as old summer routines of new places and suitcases have given way to a backyard getaway. Surprisingly I am not minding one bit. Our new favorite trips are out on the porch to watch Harry and Bennie follow the chickens around the yard, or a walk to the garden to check on the progress of our flowers and vegetables. I love spending time at home whether it is working on projects that have been on my to do list forever, tending to the garden, or simply relaxing on the hammock with my family.

My summer at home style has been rather casual on most days. I have a new found love for overalls that began the moment I tried on this pair featured from Doen. They are casual, cute, and comfy to wear on days that are not too hot. I bought these in March and they have since sold out. I liked a few other pairs that are similar below.
