The Ocean House Sipping Terrace

Last month, Kiel and I attended the opening of the Ocean House Sipping terrace. This was our first social event in quite a long time and it was a breath of fresh air to be back at the Ocean House reconnecting with friends and familiar faces. The terrace is part of a special collaboration with SipSmith Gin offering guests a private dining experience, or afternoon tea, in a charming greenhouse decorated with lemon trees and bistro tables adorned with Portmeirion botanical dishes.

Attendees had a first look at the space and the opportunity to try out the upscale picnic menu which includes a variety of English garden inspired gin cocktails, herb roasted chicken breast, seared Stonington scallops, and compressed watermelon and fennel salad. It was a treat to sample everything to say the least! The Sipping Terrace will be available until October 10th. I would recommend making an early reservation if you are visiting Watch Hill and would like to have dinner here as everything seems to be booking up quickly this year.

In this post I’m excited to feature our new Kiel James Patrick hydrangea skirt. It is my favorite design of ours to date and my favorite skirt ever. The detail on the embroidered hydrangeas is even prettier in person. It’s available in two colors and I can’t decide which one I like best.
