The holidays are filled with heart-warming traditions that I think upon fondly throughout the year. Decorating the tree, baking cookies, watching our favorite Christmas movies, having Harry select his own special ornament each year from Henry’s Christmas Tree Farm, there are so many things to look forward to during the month of December. As a family, we love bundling up and spending time outdoors. Another one of my family traditions is making a few wreaths incorporating some of the holly and greenery from our yard.
We took our family holiday photo at the Christmas Tree Farm in October this year thanks to an early snowfall. It’s our annual tradition to take it at Henry’s Christmas Tree farm. This year the holidays look a little different due to Covid and I was happy to pick out our tree before Thanksgiving when it is always really busy.
I always find it relaxing and rewarding setting a day aside to decorate the house for the holidays. This will be our first year spending Thanksgiving at home instead of up north in New Hampshire. Although I’ll miss our traditional Thanksgiving in the White Mountains, I have a whole new sense of happiness decorating this year knowing that our family will be able to enjoy the decorations for not just one, but two holidays!
