When it comes to Winter, I’ve decided it’s best to fully embrace it. While it’s easy to spend the next few months obsessing over Spring’s arrival, I’m appreciating the cozy nights by the fire with a good book, home projects, crisp afternoon walks with Kiel and Bennie, and the occasional weekend trip to the mountains. It’s also a lot easier to buckle down and work without the temptation a sunny, warm day brings.

We usually head up to New Hampshire or Vermont for a quick winter weekend getaway but last weekend decided to switch things up and headed to the Catskill Mountains. It was our first time visiting Tannersville and we loved the charming little town. It’s very close to Hunter Mountain for a day of skiing, and the food on Main Street (and at Deer Mountain Inn) is amazing. It’s the perfect town for foodies! I recommend Mama’s Boy BurgersLast Chance Cheese, and American Glory BBQ. There are also a couple of antique stores worth poking into! It’s an easy three hour drive from RI, and a little over 2 hours if you are living in NYC.

Love not only the clothes on your blog but the pics of all the places you visit and of your dog!! I'm from western Canada but love the east. I'm making a list from your blog of places I want to visit! Also wanted to say I ordered a necklace from KJP and I love it! Keep up the good work.
