Friday Finds: New England Edition

1. Earrings 2. Sweater 3. Belt // 4. Shorts 5. Bag 6. Book // 7. Sailor Bracelet 8. Dress 9. Rope Sandals
Later today Kiel, Harry, and I  are heading to Kennebunkport for the weekend.  I’m really excited to return — it’s been a couple of years since our last visit. As I was putting together this Friday Finds edition I was inspired by our destination. Preppy nautical clothing will always hold a special place in my heart. If it has an anchor, lobster, stripes, or a sailboat I can’t resist it. If it has all the aforementioned even better! As an New Englander, nautical attire is almost always appropriate.
In this roundup I included a signal flag sweater that I have had my eye on. It’s pricey but the quality is spot on. I love the vintage look of it. I also included a bucket bag that is very trendy but I love how different is; beautiful shell earrings that are elegant and fun; and our new sailor bracelet that can be customized to your initials. I also had to include the book Stern Men by Elizabeth Gilbert. I bought this book two years ago while I was in Acadia, Maine. I just started reading it after rediscovering it on my bookshelf. It’s about a girl who returns home to Maine from boarding school to join the “stern men” in her community who work the lobster boats. I’m not very far in it but I’m hoping to get some reading time in this weekend. I’ll let you know what I think after I finish it. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Love that sweater! I too am attracted to anything nautical. Absolutely love the New England aesthetic with boat shoes and Nantucket Red.
