Charming Woodstock, Vermont

No place does fall better than Woodstock, Vermont. The town puts on it’s best show when the autumn leaves are on display. Resident homes and shops alike take great pride in dressing up their porches, windows, walkways, and front steps for the season. Woodstock literally becomes an autumn wonderland. We were really lucky to visit during peak foliage. There was a gorgeous sight along every country road — one of the best sights being the famed Sleepy Hollow Farm. There are many pictures of its beauty circulating around the internet. I think a visit to Woodstock every October would be a dream.

Happy Birthday Harry

Today is Harry’s first birthday! How fast a year flies by! It’s been incredible to watch him grow. I want to document every second so that it can never be forgotten. He loves to hold onto Bennie when he walks and finds it hilarious to try and feed bits of his food to others. Harry looks incredibly sweet whenever he twirls his hair while drinking a bottle. I love the way he plays with my hair when he’s getting sleepy. These are moments that I will cherish forever. I’m excited to see the changes that another year will bring.
This weekend we celebrated Harry’s special day with family and friends. I’m sharing a few snapshots from the party. Originally Kiel and I planned for our farm themed party to be outdoors but the weather had other plans. Almost everyone showed up in flannels and cowboy hats. We hired a traveling petting zoo for the kids. I might have been the most excited. A DJ played country music and the adults enjoyed singing Karaoke. Harry ended the night in his pajamas unwrapping gifts (with a little help from mom). His favorite gift of all was the tissue paper! Happy Birthday Harry! You are so loved!

I never saw a plaid coat I didn’t like! Plaid is always my go to pattern this season especially with the holidays quickly arriving. I have a closet stocked with flannels, button downs, and of course my Kiel James Patrick cozy cabin dresses to warm up the coldest days.

The Nightmare Before Halloween

Halloween is quickly creeping upon us! Finding the perfect costume doesn’t have to be a nightmare. Today I’m sharing some of my looks from the past few years in addition to costume ideas that I’ve come across on the internet and really love. The DIY projects always amaze me. Some costumes are so simple to put together and yet so brilliant.

Grove Street

Last week Kiel and I spent a couple of days in New York with the Dyson team for the launch of Dyson’s new Air Wrap — a blow dryer, curler, smoothing brush, and more that styles hair without the use of extreme heat. The most magical thing about the Air Wrap is that it has the ability to attract hair to wrap on its own around the curling barrel. It’s a really innovative new product and everything you would expect from the Dyson name. James Dyson and celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin came out to introduce the product to a very excited crowd. It was a really incredible event to be a part of. I will be sharing more on the Dyson Airwrap and the launch in a later post. 
 
During our down time we ate our way through the city, did a little shopping, and explored the West Village. The West Village was putting on its’ best show for Autumn. We walked by all of the popular locales including Grove Court and the Friends Apartment. I loved all of the pumpkins and autumn decor on the doorsteps.

The Great Pumpkin Hunters

I partnered with Hunter Boots for one of our favorite autumnal traditions — pumpkin picking. Hunter is one of my favorite brands that I continue to wear year after year. Their boots are ideal for the rain and trekking through a muddy field. I find myself wearing them a lot in the fall and winter. I also love their outwear. The coats Kiel and I wore in this post have a good amount of weight to them and offered a lot of coverage for a rainy day. It started to drizzle towards the end of our outing. Harry stayed perfectly dry in his little yellow raincoat and baby Hunter Boots. I can never get over how cute he looks in them!

My Signature Fall Scent

There’s something I love about having a fresh scent for the new season. Honeysuckle & Davana by Jo Malone is my current favorite. It comes on a little strong but quickly dries into a lovely floral scent with a hint of earthy undertones that are just masculine enough and perfect for fall. Like a cozy fall wardrobe of sweaters, and flannels — this perfume completes my fall adventures.
