Gingham Season
Year after year I continue to gravitate towards gingham as a staple pattern in my spring/summer wardrobe. Gingham remains classic no matter the style of the clothing whether it be a mini dress or an ankle length dress, a cropped top or a long sleeved blouse, cigarette pants or a tennis skort. It’s one of the few patterns that can be incorporated into a trend of the moment and make it timeless. A simple gingham button down can look effortless with a pair of white pants or denim shorts. A Navy gingham dress is essential to any classic wardrobe — I purchased the dress I am wearing in the second picture from Milly 10 years ago and I still look forward to wearing it every summer. I love wearing gingham as a means to embrace current trends that may not be my typical style — a gingham crop top for example looks perfect with high-waisted shorts or a long skirt. There are so many fun ways to incorporate gingham into your warm weather wardrobe. I shared a few pieces that I have my eye on this season below.

I love gingham! It’s so classic and I like to think the equivalent to plaid in fall/winter! Also loving the gingham pieces in pink or green- it gives it a new twist on a classic pattern.
