Amazon Home Shopping

Kiel and I moved into our new home almost a year ago and we are finally starting to renovate some of the rooms. The first room on our list is our guest room. We have family and friends stay over often and really wanted to create a welcoming, comfortable space. Right now we pretty much have just a bed and a couple of pictures on the wall — the decor is very minimal. As you can see from the bottom two pictures, it needs a little love.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been going through lots of home interior books for design inspiration. There are so many directions we can take our guest room but ultimately I really want to keep the decor traditional with a touch of the farmhouse aesthetic (Amazon’s Stone & Beam line is perfect for this look). I teamed up with Amazon Home to refresh our space. Amazon has so many wonderful options at really affordable prices. The number of options can be overwhelming but Amazon Home does a really good job of curating their product line with the Discover Tool. With this tool I can like a product to see more of what I love, or dislike a product for alternative recommendations. It made my shopping experience so much easier.

Whenever I encounter a piece of furniture that l like/think will work for a particular space, I use Amazon’s View in Room  tool via the app on my iPhone to let me see how a chair, rug, etc will look and fit in my room. It’s really easy to use — download the Amazon app, go to the product page, and click View in Room. Through the use of my phone’s camera I can gauge whether or not a piece of furniture will be the right size or look for my space. This feature saves me a lot of time, energy and money by decreasing the chances of ordering the wrong product.

One of the best parts about shopping with Amazon Home is the fast and free Amazon Prime shipping on many of their products. When it comes to purchasing furniture I’m used to waiting weeks for delivery and paying additional high delivery costs. I love that Amazon offers free two day shipping on large, and heavy products that include bed frames, chairs, and tables. For me this is a game changer.

I’m excited to share more guest room updates on my social channels in the coming weeks before the big reveal. This has been a really fun process. Can’t wait to show you the final product! Stay tuned.

Special thank you to Amazon for sponsoring this post!
