Shirt: Doen, Skirt: Sezane (similar), Shoes: Sarah Flint c/o, Bracelets: Kiel James Patrick 1,2, Necklace: Kiel James Patrick
I purchased this denim skirt back in January and aside from today, I’m excited that the weather is warm enough to finally wear it. It has since sold out but I linked a similar style from Sezane. On the days the weather is warmer I love to dress up even if I’m just at home. This look is somewhere in between dressy and casual for me. The shirt is from Doen, one of my favorite new brands. This small company was created by two women in California and they offer a beautiful line of vintage inspired dresses and tops that are perfect for effortless, everyday wear. If you follow my Instagram, I wore this same shirt print in a smocked dress version on Easter. I love the comfort and ease of the fabric used for each piece.
I’m currently reading Green Thoughts A Writer in the Garden by Eleanor Perenyi. It’s a collection of 72 short essays ranging alphabetically from various topics that include roses, toads, mulches, and perennials to name a few. She covers so many tidbits having to do with the garden and there is something for everyone interested in gardening. The book first came out in 1981 and all of it is still relevant today. Somehow the author manages to write about her topics in a way that is interesting, witty, and helpful. Whenever I have a free moment, which is not as often as I would like, I read a topic or two. Each topic is only a few pages long which makes this book perfect for picking up when I have only a short amount of time to relax. Hoping to put some of the knowledge gained from this book to good use this summer.
