Whenever I travel I always make sure to bring a good book (or two) with me. I picked up the The Unchangeable Spots of Leopards by Kristopher Jansma in an airport newsstand on the way to St. John. It is a brilliant fiction about a man who goes on a journey to find himself in order to write his own story. In this book the reader is introduced to all of the characters within the narrator’s real life who are also a part of his fiction. The lines between what is real and what is not are often blurred and left to the reader to decipher. There is a huge emphasis on what truth means in life and in storytelling. I couldn’t put it down and found myself rereading some of the paragraphs just because the prose was so beautiful. If you love literature and the process of writing then I highly recommend this book.

Sarah, I love your hair in these photos! I have similar thick, dark hair (and same age) – I hope you don't mind my asking, but what products (shampoo/conditioner) do you use to help it stay so thick while straight? I have straight hair as well, but it goes flat after a bit if I don't curl it! Yours looks lovely!
Take care!
