Kiel and I moved into our new home almost a year ago and we are finally starting to renovate some of the rooms. The first room on our list is our guest room. We have family and friends stay over often and really wanted to create a welcoming, comfortable space. Right now we pretty much have just a bed and a couple of pictures on the wall — the decor is very minimal. As you can see from the bottom two pictures, it needs a little love.

Before Kiel and I started Kiel James Patrick, we used to drive all over New England hunting for vintage threads — old Lacoste polos, vintage band t-shirts, vintage Lilly Pulitzer, etc to sell on eBay. The hunt was always a thrill. It was exciting to see how high certain pieces would sell for and how many people were watching an item.

I bought this dress online for Easter and I really love the way it looks. It has quickly become one of my favorite new pieces to wear this spring. I’ve worn it on a few different occasions and love the puffed sleeves, longer length, and pretty lace pattern.
Daffy Weekend
Every end of April we usually head to Nantucket for Daffodil weekend. This year I was sad to miss the festivities due partially to work. Going through old photos I realized I never shared this post from last year. Harry had just turned 6 months old and was mastering sitting up on his own. It’s fun to look at these pictures and see how much he has grown. He is now taller than Bennie when she sits.

Year round I love a good statement earring to mix up my outfits. My look never feels complete with out adding a little something extra, especially if my attire is basic. The right statement earring can tie a look together. For the longest time I’ve worn clip-on earrings. I’m always on the hunt for them. I love that so many companies offer them these days. I mainly used to buy them in antique stores and now I can find a number of different styles online from some of my favorite designers.

Spring has officially arrived in New England and I couldn’t be happier. This weekend has been the first weekend to actually feel like spring — the weather has been warm and the trees are finally starting to bud. I’ve loved spending the time outdoors. We took the Wagooneer out for a drive to stock up on tulips and daffodils for our yard.
