Spring at the Shire
Jacket: Barbour, Sweater: Mango (similar), Skirt: Ulla Johnson, Necklace: Kiel James Patrick (coming soon), Boots: Hunter
Spring has sprung at the Shire! Kiel and I took these family photos a couple of days before Easter at the Hobbit Hole at the Preserve in Rhode Island. A few months back we had the pleasure of eating inside the hobbit hole with friends for dinner. The inside is as cozy as you can imagine, especially when there is a fire roaring, candles lit on the table, and cozy fur blankets draped on the chairs.

Green Bee Sweater: Kiel James Patrick, Dress: Pink City Prints, Jeans: J.Crew, Sandals: Carrie Forbes
Introducing my favorite sweater this season — the Garden Bee Sweater. It’s the perfect light-weight cotton linen sweater for spring days that are warm in the sun and cool in the shade. I just love the slightly marled knit on the green sweater combined with the bee and floral embroidered design.

Bennie and Maple have taken over Harry’s bedroom and intend to snuggle in until Spring. I can’t say that I blame them! Harry’s bed is extra cozy. Sharing a glimpse of Harry’s space today. It’s very fitting for the adventures of a little boy and his two furry companions. Kiel and I love antique shopping for unique furniture and decor finds including his bed, the toy chest, and animal heads. We love to combine old pieces that have lots of character with newer finds, the anchor lamp for example is from Target.

January often feels like the Monday of the year, but I’ve learned that it doesn’t have to be. New England winters can be long and cold yet there are plenty of things to enjoy in the days and months ahead.

Happy Friday! Sharing a short post in collaboration with Modcloth. I can’t believe how quickly Christmas is sneaking up on us. I still have a good number of things to do before the end of the year. The month of December is always really busy work wise.
A Christmas Tradition
Sweater // Shirt // Pants // Shoes // Hat (all items c/o Talbots)
The holidays are filled with heart-warming traditions that I think upon fondly throughout the year. Decorating the tree, baking cookies, watching our favorite Christmas movies, having Harry select his own special ornament each year from Henry’s Christmas Tree Farm, there are so many things to look forward to during the month of December.

I always find it relaxing and rewarding setting a day aside to decorate the house for the holidays. This will be our first year spending Thanksgiving at home instead of up north in New Hampshire.
